To meet all of our community member’s needs and preferences, the December 06, 2023 meeting will be both physically open to the public and available online/telephone via Zoom. When calling in you will need the Meeting ID 204 558 1076. If you connect by computer and do not have speakers or a microphone, connect online and then select phone for audio. A box will come up with toll free numbers, the Meeting ID, and your participant number. You may join the meeting physically at the Cooper Landing Community Hall.

Please note the two main topics for discussion at this meeting will be:
1. Classifying all of Unit 395 lands for Resource Management
2. Traylor Bros. using KPB lands to set up a personnel housing site/man camp near the end of the project access road off Bean Creek.

Movie Night next week
Come on down and watch a holiday classic for our last movie of the year. Don’t forget to wear your pink Easter Bunny onesie, and grab your favorite leg lamp and your Red Rider BB gun and join us December 8th, 7pm at the Community Hall! Christmas Performance
Cooper Landing School is pleased to bring you our annual Christmas Movie Premiere on December 14 at 6:00 pm in the Cooper Landing School gymnasium. Please be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to this community event. All are welcome!
Students should arrive at 5:45 and the performance will start promptly at 6:00. We will begin with caroling followed by the video performance. It’s possible that Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance!
We would like to follow up the performance with a dessert bar and coffee. If you are able, please bring a dessert to share.

Sunrise Inn: The Land We Share Open House and Book Signing
Join us for a casual gathering and storytelling at Sunrise Inn in Cooper Landing on Saturday December 16 at 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
In partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management, noted conservation and hunting writers Christine Cunningham and Steve Meyer share stories about wild lands, animals, and the relationships that can form around hunting. The Land We Share publication features personal narratives from two lovers of nature who provide a unique perspective on the way we interact with public lands. Hunting is an often-overlooked component of public lands, sometimes perceived with disdain by others in the outdoor community. This publication helps dispel some of the notion that hunters are only out to take from the land. The essays explore how hunting on public lands contributes to the sustenance of physical health, nurtures the human spirit, and deepens appreciation for the natural world.
Authors Steve Meyer and Christine Cunningham will be present to discuss and sign the book. Cookies and beverages provided by Sunrise Inn.

AA Meetings
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held at the Baptist Church annex Saturday mornings 9:00 and Wednesday nights 7:00. This is an open 12 step meeting.
