Blue Yeti will be back open starting this weekend!  We will be open on Friday-Sunday at 12pm.  Stop in at the Cooper Landing Brewery and grab a beer and some good food!  Happy New Year and we look forward to seeing you!!

Tour of Tsalteshi

Tsalteshi Trails Association will hold its eighth annual Tour of Tsalteshi race at 11:30 a.m. Feb. 16 at the trailhead behind Skyview Middle School. Choose a 40-, 20- or 10-kilometer ski race in skate or classic divisions. A 20-kilometer fat-tire bike race starts at 1:30 p.m., in partnership with Cook Inletkeeper. Or choose to ski and bike. Prizes will be awarded for the first three finishers in each race and raffle drawings will be available to all participants. Awards will be given at a post-race party starting at 3 p.m. at Kenai River Brewing in Soldotna. Discounts are available for early registration by Jan. 31, TTA members and members of neighboring ski clubs. An Evening of Traditional Irish Music – Jan. 24

An Evening of Traditional Irish Music will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 in the Ward Building at Kenai Peninsula College’s Kenai River Campus, presented by KPC and KDLL. Annual favorites John Walsh and Pat Broaders and their guest Jannell Canerday perform traditional forms of Irish music sprinkled with storytelling. The concert is free but seating is limited and seats must be reserved in advance. Visit http://www.kdll.org to reserve seats. Ski For Women

The 20th annual 5-kilometer Tsalteshi Ski For Women will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 9 at the Skyview Trailhead of Tsalteshi Trails. Choose skate or classic skiing. Costumes encouraged! Proceeds will be donated to a local charity benefiting women. Preregistration is available at http://www.tsalteshi.org/events for $25 for Tsalteshi members or $30 for nonmembers. Day-of-race registration, starting at 10 a.m., is $35 for TTA members or $40 for nonmembers. Youth registration is $10. The first 100 women to register will get a Ski For Women neck gaiter! The main event is for women, only, but a drag race for guys will be held after the women’s race. Donations for the drag race will be accepted and registration is not necessary. HOTROOT CHINESE NIGHT!

Hi friends! This weeks “soup night” hosted at Estes grocery will be featuring Chinese food! Soup nights offer different cuisine every week, and are held every Thursday from 3-7pm. The best way to keep updated on what is offered each week is to either follow us on social media or shoot me a text and I’d be happy to fill you in.

Cashew Chicken – A classic Chinese-American dish featuring crispy chicken and roasted cashews tossed in a tangy housemade sticky sauce. Served with steamed broccoli and jasmine rice. $17

Calling ahead and preordering is highly encouraged. Last time we did chinese we sold out very quickly so make sure you don’t miss your chance to get some chinese takeout in the cooper-pass-moose-landing area! We also have a lovely historic dining room for those who would like to sit down with us.

Seeking Community Comment on CLCC Bylaw Amendments

The Cooper Landing Community Club Bylaws Committee presented the suggested amended CLCC bylaws at our January 16th meeting. Please review and send your input to officers@cooperlandingcommunityclub.com by February 9th, 2025. We will take these comments into consideration, send them in for legal review and then present the final draft for community discussion and approval at our next meeting on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
