Creative Mondays at the Hall: Silk Painting with Artist Thalia Wilkinson
This is a two-step process. Step one is drawing the design on silk with a liquid resist, then painting the colors on the silk. Step two is steaming the silk for a few hours to set the dyes. Each session will inspire and invoke your inner creativity. Come with your image in mind, or just let it flow moment by moment.

Notice of Funding Opportunity for 2026 Fisheries Resource Monitoring Program
The Office of Subsistence Management is currently seeking technically sound proposals that gather information to manage and conserve subsistence fishery resources on Federal public lands and waters in Alaska for the 2026 Fisheries Resource Monitoring Program. Proposals must provide information needed for management of subsistence fisheries on Federal public lands and waters in Alaska (National Wildlife Refuges, National Forests, National Parks and Preserves, National Conservation Areas, National Wild and Scenic River Systems, National Petroleum Reserves, and National Recreation Areas) or non-navigable waters on Bureau of Land Management general domain lands. Project proposals may focus on assessing stocks of fish used for subsistence purposes, the subsistence harvest of stocks, or the Indigenous and traditional knowledge and uses of stocks.
