Seeking Donations for CLCC Silent Auction at Softball Tournament
The Cooper Landing Community Club is seeking donations for their silent auction held during the Cooper Landing Softball Tournament (to be held May 29 – June 7, 2025). This is one of our biggest fundraisers for the Club during the year. We will gratefully accept gift certificates for services, trip and trip packages, accommodations, artwork created by local artists, merchandise from business vendors, and more! Arrangements can be made for a pick up time or dropping off at the Hall. All proceeds from the Silent Auction go towards the Community Club. NEW! Seeking Artists for Creative Mondays at the Cooper Landing Community Club
The CLCC has started a new event for the community! One Monday a month the CLCC will host an artist to teach a course of their medium to members of our community and surrounding areas. Artist will be responsible for recruiting participants, collecting fees to cover their expenses and time. Artists will also be responsible for set up, take down and clean up of the hall. Artists will also need to be aware and respect any CL Sewers who wish to use the Hall at the same time. (There is plenty of room for everyone!) There is no fee to the artist to rent the Hall as long as the event is open to the community of Cooper Landing and the general public. In return for the use of the Hall, the CLCC asks that the artist donate a piece of work from their class or by the artist to be used at one of our fundraising silent auction events.
We just tested a Silk painting class and currently have a Wet Felting, a Christmas Cookie, and an Advanced Silk Painting class in the works. For more information and to register teaching a class, please email officers@cooperlandingcommunityclub.com.
CLCC Hall Cleanup & Firewise Day May 10
First off, THANK YOU from the Cooper Landing Community Club to the person who came in and cleaned up the 2-3 trees down and encroaching in the parking area over by the Pavilion and on the Play House. Your help was greatly appreciated!
Please Mark your Calendars! We NEED volunteers for the annual Cooper Landing Community Club Hall Cleanup & Firewise Day on Saturday, May 10th, 1 pm – 5 pm. This will include general spring cleaning of the hall (inside & out), painting the deck, brush clearing, some tree removal and prepping the field for the Softball Tournament (May 29- June 7). For those wanting to work outside, bring rakes, shovels, work gloves, ear plugs, eye protection, and your muscles! Also looking for a few chain saw operators, and a log splitter or two. I have many different varieties of tomato’s , cucumbers and peppers again. I also have hundreds of flower starts , which are ready now.
TOMATOES: ( Slicers) BHN 589, Giant Belgians, Bodacious, Carmelo, Delicious, Mortgage Lifter, Brandy Wine, Steak Sandwich, Sandwich Slicer, Siberian, Black Brandywine, Charokee Purple, Black Krim, Pineapple, Stupice, and Roman, Front Runner, 42Day. Some have blossoms already. ( Cherry Tomatoes) : Tumbling Toms, Sweet 100, Early Cherry, Chocolate Cherry, Patio Choice (yellow),Sungold, Red Robin, Large Red Cherry, Wapsipinicon Peach, and Black Pearl. CUCUMBERS: China Jade (Asian), Sweet Long Slims( English), Tasty King ( Asian ) , Pepinex ( ( (English ),Sweet slice, Early Fortune ( slicer), Sweet Success, pick a bushel, Homemade Pickles, National pickles, Boston Pickles, and Burpees Pickles…… I have many different flower starts. Wave Petunias ( many colors). Geraniums ( 4 different colors), lots of alyssum , Bacopa (whie, pink and blue), Gazannias, Mixed Lobelia, many marigolds, Black eyed Susan’s and many more. I’m starting Nasturtiums this week.
I’ll also have . Cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, Kohlrabi, possibly Chainese Cabbage and Bok Choy.
