Targeted herbicide application by one of our DEC-certified pesticide applicators will get to the root of the problem and ensure the tree doesn’t come back.
If you’re looking for a DIY tree removal, we can offer tips for a successful removal – it can be tricky with these persistent trees!
Landowners in the Cooper Landing area can receive up to $150 reimbursement for replacing a chokecherry tree with a native or non-invasive tree.
For questions, removal tips, or to set up a time for us to visit your chokecherry tree(s), email Jen Chauvet at jen@homerswcd.org. Visit http://www.kenaiinvasives.org for resources on how to deal with chokecherry trees and other common invasive plants.
