C.L. Cemetery Needs Your Help

Cooper Landing Cemetery has been overwhelmed by fallen and dead spruce trees, making it difficult—and in some areas, unsafe—for visitors to access their loved ones’ resting places. We are seeking donations to help fund a crew for a day or two of cleanup in August, so the grounds can be restored and safely visited.

If you have loved ones interred at the cemetery or have a reserved plot, please consider contributing to this important effort. Your support will go directly toward preserving the dignity and accessibility of this cherished space.

If you would like to donate to the cause, please contact Tommy at 907-598-8061 for information on how you can make a tax-deductible donation. Every contribution helps.

Personal At Home Care Giver Needed

I am seeking a kind-hearted, patient, and understanding individual to assist my mom in caring for my dad in their home at the Cooper Landing Senior Center. Both of my parents are in their late 70s, but my mom is as spry as ever (mentally and physically). This is a 21-32 hour a week paid position through Live Well Home Health Care. The hourly pay will be determined by the applicant’s experience in patient care.
Mental State: My dad is in the middle stages of dementia, but still has many days that are filled with lucidity. During the “bad days” his mental state is scared and confused, but during his good days, my dad is full of humor and gratitude, and has a strong appreciation for the finer things in life, like good food and tunes with a beat he can dance to.
Physical State: My dad is recovering from a pretty severe leg injury that has left him with some nerve damage on his left side. He currently walks with a walker and needs a bit of assistance in getting from a seated position to a standing position. However, since the beginning of June, we have seen great improvements in motivation and in strength, and are hopeful that this forward momentum will continue.
We are hoping for an individual who can keep the mood light during those dark times, stick to our daily routines, and carry on with the silliness when we are lucky enough to see that shine through. Must be strong in mind and body and gentle in spirit.

Contact Tsali Janek at 907-350-7672 with any questions.
Thank you:)
