JUNE BOOK CLUB
The June Book Club will meet in person at the library on Tuesday, June 16, at 7:00. The book discussed will be The Proving Ground by Michael Connelly. The book is a legal thriller where defense attorney Mickey Haller sues Tidalwaiv Technologies, an AI company whose chatbot allegedly encouraged a teenage boy to murder his ex-girlfriend. It will provide a great discussion on the pros and cons of using AI.
GWIN’S LODGE HOURS
GWIN’S LODGE $5.50 all drafts $3 PBR RAINIER
Gwin’s Lodge hours are changing June 11 from 9am to 10PM. Gwin’s is currently open 10am till 8PM with breakfast served till 12PM. Chicken fried steak and breakfast burritos are popular among the traditional items. The Halibut and chips are fantastic and are only $29. PRIME RIBEYE is delicious at only $36.

Silent Auction Winners!
The silent auction for the 2026 softball tournament is complete. Thank you to everyone who donated items both for the adults and the children’s table, and to everyone who placed bids. Museum Open House for CL Seasonal Workers
Cooper Landing Seasonal Workers are invited to the Cooper Landing Museum Tuesday, June 9, 6 to 9 pm for a light supper and chance to look around and get acquainted with museum exhibits. Door prizes, too! Hosted by Kate Stevenson.
The Cooper Landing Museum is at Milepost 48.7 on the Sterling Highway. Look for signs.

The 2026-27 Cooper Landing Directory will be available for purchase at the library, or if you prepaid, you can pick it up during operating hours! Thank you, Cooper Landing Community Library!
As with every issue, even with several eyes proofing, we have typos and folks who missed getting their info or updates in. We will make an insert with corrections and distribute it. If you already picked up your directory, the insert will be available at the Library or upon request. Summer AA Meetings in Cooper Landing!
Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held at the Baptist Church annex on Saturday mornings at 9am and on Tuesday nights at 7pm. These are open 12-step meetings. Seasonal workers and visitors welcome! If you are curious or think you might have an issue with drinking or other addictions, come join us. The church is located at the corner of Snug Harbor Road and the Sterling Highway, next to the CL Emergency Services building. For more information, call (907)299-2855 or (907)244-3347
