Monday, August 5, 4pm – 7:30pm
**Subsistence hunting permits will be available starting July 29th. If you are unable to attend any of these meetings, contact Heather Thamm, Seward Ranger District at 907-288-7709 for more information on alternative ways to acquire permits.
Please Note: Unit 7 Federal Subsistence hunting permits are only available for federally qualified rural residents of Cooper Landing, Hope and Moose Pass. Having a seasonal residence in any of these communities does not qualify you as a rural resident. You must have lived in Alaska for the past 12 months and Cooper Landing, Moose Pass or Hope is your primary residence. You will not be eligible to receive a permit if you claim residence in another location for any purpose.
You will be required to provide the following:
- State of Alaska hunting license,
2. Alaska Driver’s License
3. Verification of your primary physical address if not listed on your driver’s license

The RV is:
- One Bedroom
- Full Bathroom (which is fully plumbed in and attached to the septic)
- Full Kitchen (Oven, Burners, Microwave, Refrigerator with a Freezer)
- Living room (pull out couch).

Derral Gleason Trio Live at Gwin’s Lodge Free Event
A native Texan, Derral Gleason has been a
dynamic and diverse performer in successive
musical incarnations. Derral’s range is
illustrated by a musical history in which his
bands have toured nationally and
internationally, including stints with the Police,
INXS, Iggy Pop, and the Divinyls…to solo-
acoustic openings with Jerry Jeff Walker,
Reverend Horton Heat and Paul Kelly.
Beginning his career with the exciting New
Wave band, Billy Clone and the Same based in
Phoenix, AZ, Derral went on to lead the edgy
Blitz Girls in Boulder, Colorado, touring the
U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Derral then
founded the Illustrious Illustrated Men, also
out of Colorado, before moving back to Austin,
Texas, where his music has found its most
recent and long-standing incarnation as the
DG3 (Derral Gleason Trio).
Derral’s original music has been described as “soul-kissed rock and roll” – a high-energy
adventure of songs laced with pain and humor. The DG3 has graced brew pubs, dance
halls and festivals alike, touring the Czech Republic, Berlin, Alaska, Canada, and from sea
to shining sea in the lower 48 for the past several years. Most recently, original music
performed by Derral has appeared on the series “Mindhunter” (Netflix), “Dirty John”
(Bravo) and “Young Sheldon” (CBS). Derral Gleason Music encompasses Derral’s work as
a solo performer, as well as the DGDuo or DG3 formats. No matter what the configuration,
listeners are treated to a soulful and distinctive musical experience.
