Monday Edition 6/16/25

Date Change for Harvest Moon Festival
If you had September 6 marked on your calendar, please note the change: After hearing from farm vendors that the 6th is a bit too early for a full end-of-season harvest, we’re moving the festival to September 20th. Thanks for your flexibility—we’re looking forward to a great event!
Want to Get Involved? Whether you’re interested in being a vendor, volunteering, or helping in another way, we’d love to have you on board!

Creative Mondays, Wet Felt Wearable Art Scarf Class – June 23rd, 5-8 pm

Cooper Landing Community Hall
Create your very own, one of a kind, felted wool scarf, table runner or wall hanging. You will hand felt your piece using soapy water, bubble wrap and a little elbow grease. No experience is necessary, and all materials are included. Some examples are shown here but let your imagination run wild. Just about any shape and design you can think of can be created. The class will cover the basics of how and why wool felts, surface design and embellishment, how to incorporate non-wool items, fulling (shrinking), finishing and how to care for your piece. The technique learned in this class will be the foundation to move on to more advanced felting. Please bring a couple of old towels and some  scissors. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting a little wet. Cost is $85 – all materials included. Instructor – Rhonda Lynn. To register or for questions email inspiredfelt@gmail.com or text 907-597-7055.
