2026 CLCC Softball Tournament Prep
The CLCC Softball Tournament is scheduled for Thursday May 28 – Saturday June 6. Before we get to play there are some tasks and work to be done!
For the local businesses who have signs posted at the field, check your signs condition to make sure they look pretty for the crowds. Don’t have a sign? You can donate $100 to the CLCC and hang it pretty much forever!
To our local organizations who wish to financially benefit from helping at concessions, sign up your group to volunteer! All nights are currently open except for opening night (CLCC Board members start it off) and Wednesday, June 3rd, when there are no games. We will make an announcement mid-May on when the concession volunteer sign up board is out and its location.
Teams and Players – pull out your gloves, loosen up those arms and start stretching those hammies! Watch for announcements coming soon on team sign up, helping with field prep, practice schedules and the Captain meeting. Along with playing, we will need volunteers to help with umping, base coaching and helping with concessions.
Silent Auction– to all those who can, we are accepting gift certificates for trips, lodging, services, and food, local art, business swag, or any items appropriate to donate for our auction. Text Julie at 907-953-4304 or email us for coordinating either a pickup or delivery.
Believe it or not, but it takes over 100 volunteers to put on this tournament and we are truly grateful for EVERYONES contribution. Every bit helps and makes a difference! Summer Campsites
Kenai River Float-n-Fish Campground has a still has a couple dry (no hookup) campsites available for the summer. $300/month includes wifi, pay shower, restroom, and dumpster. Chugach Electric is hosting a community meeting on May 5 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the Cooper Landing Community Club.
Updates will include the plans we have for the property we purchased behind the airport, some news on EV chargers in the area, and more.
Attached to this email is a flyer that has been sent prior to a handful of residents. I hope it is posted around town. We have also posted on two Cooper Landing community pages on Facebook and will do so again.
