Children’s Winter Gloves Needed
If anyone has winter gloves that would be suitable for the kiddos to wear outside at recess, the school could really use some extras. Thank you!
Christmas Performance
Cooper Landing School is pleased to bring you our annual Christmas Movie Premiere on December 14 at 6:00 pm in the Cooper Landing School gymnasium. Please be sure to invite your friends and neighbors to this community event. All are welcome!
Students should arrive at 5:45 and the performance will start promptly at 6:00. We will begin with caroling followed by the video performance. It’s possible that Santa and Mrs. Claus will make an appearance!
We would like to follow up the performance with a dessert bar and coffee. If you are able, please bring a dessert to share.

Looking for Housing
Hello! My name is Zach Andrews, I am 29 and currently live in Tampa, FL. I will be moving to Cooper Landing this Spring, no set date, flexible based on housing availability. I will be working on the Juneau Creek Bridge for Traylor as one of the Engineers. I am looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom house. I plan on being on the project for multiple years so I am willing to sign a year long lease with the intent of re-signing multiple times. I do have a dog that will be coming up with me, his name is Bruno. A very good boy. Feel free to call or text. Thanks in advance! Any information or suggestions are also greatly appreciated. Who Wants A Cooperlanding Health Fair in 2024?
Happy Holidays to all. We hope you all are happy and healthy.
Alaska Health Fair receives several calls each year asking why we do not come to Cooper Landing anymore. Because of this, I am writing to all in the area. We would love to come to Cooper Landing in 2024. In order for us to do that, we need one or more of you willing to help us coordinate the local part. If you would be interested in helping us pull this off, please call or email us. I can send you some info about what it would take to have our annual or semi annual health fairs again or we can discuss it on the phone. I believe I can get the School again if the dates chosen are available. Hope to hear from you.

Sunrise Inn: The Land We Share Open House and Book Signing
Join us for a casual gathering and storytelling at Sunrise Inn in Cooper Landing on Saturday December 16 at 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
In partnership with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, National Park Service, and Bureau of Land Management, noted conservation and hunting writers Christine Cunningham and Steve Meyer share stories about wild lands, animals, and the relationships that can form around hunting. The Land We Share publication features personal narratives from two lovers of nature who provide a unique perspective on the way we interact with public lands. Hunting is an often-overlooked component of public lands, sometimes perceived with disdain by others in the outdoor community. This publication helps dispel some of the notion that hunters are only out to take from the land. The essays explore how hunting on public lands contributes to the sustenance of physical health, nurtures the human spirit, and deepens appreciation for the natural world.
Authors Steve Meyer and Christine Cunningham will be present to discuss and sign the book. Cookies and beverages provided by Sunrise Inn.

The cooper Landing Community Club is looking for Photo submissions for the 2024-2025 directory.
