Softball Concessions Schedule & Sign Up

nn

As you all know, we need volunteers to help with Concessions during the softball tournament. Many local organizations step up to the plate by signing up for a night and providing volunteers to help and serve. For their contribution, part of the proceeds raised are split amongst those taking the time to help. To sign up, you can email us at officers@cooperlandingcommunityclub.com or the sign-up board is at the Community Hall.

nn

What are Concessions? We serve a variety of food items that are the locals’

n

favorites over the years. Cheeseburgers, Hot Dogs, Pretzels, Nachos, Root beer floats, etc. There are two shifts a night. Please plan on showing up no later than 6:00 pm at the hall the day you signed up for, to set up (and to potentially feed players there warming up before the first game!) If you are on the second shift, it starts a little before the second game, 8:30 pm and then ends around 9:45 pm (last call). This crew then cleans up in preparation for the next day.

nn

Monday, May 29th – Open or available for Cooper Landing Locals – Proceeds from this night will be split between all organizations that help with concessions.

n

Tuesday, May 30th – Wednesday, May 31st – No Games – No Concessions

n

Thursday, June 1st – Cooper Landing Emergency Services – Fireflies

n

Friday, June 2nd – Cooper Landing Trails Committee

n

Saturday, June 3rd – Cooper Landing Community Library

Update on Financial Situation

n

The Cooper Landing Community Library Board wants to inform you about a recent incident involving fraudulent activity on our library’s account and provide you with an update on our current account status.

nn

About a month ago, three unauthorized ACH payments were made from our account, due to no fault of our own. The financial institution has taken responsibility for this unfortunate event. Due to staff turnover in one of their departments, some typical checks and balances were not followed, which allowed the fraudulent activity to go unnoticed. However, our volunteer staff acted swiftly by closing our accounts to prevent further losses.

nn

We are pleased to report that the full amount has been returned by the financial institution. To ensure the security of our funds, we will be opening new accounts and exploring investment options.

nn

We want to assure you that the library was not at fault in this incident, and we have taken immediate steps to rectify the situation and protect our finances.

nn

Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us. Thank you for your continued support.
