3-2-1- BLAST OFF is the theme of VBS this summer! David and Heidi Schultz will do a ‘KICK OFF” worship service on Sunday June 11 at 2:30 at the Catholic Church. Bible School will be June 12-15 at the Community Hall for ages 3-10 with breakfast. Older kids please come and help! (Lutheran services for the summer will be the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 2:30 at the Catholic Church)

Volunteer Opportunity – Trail Work at Ptarmigan Creek – June 10th, 2023

Join Alaska Trails June 10th from 10 am – 4:30 pm to help reestablish turnpikes on Ptarmigan Creek INHT Access Trail. The work will involve pulling up 4x4s, cutting rebar, and resetting 4x4s. Volunteers will work alongside both Alaska Geographic Youth Crew and Forest Service employees.

Two campsites at Ptarmigan Campground will be reserved for Alaska Trails volunteers for the evening of June 10th. If you would like to camp after the event, you will share these campsites with other volunteers.

Notice of Survey Work (Quartz Creek Area)

The Kenai Peninsula Borough, through its survey contractor, will be conducting survey field work in the Quartz Creek area beginning the week of June 12th. Land survey field crews may be present intermittently along Quartz Creek Road and along Quartz Creek waterways throughout the summer as they conduct their work. The contractor will be completing the required field work necessary for the conveyance of municipal entitlement selected lands from the State of Alaska. For questions regarding these activities, please contact the Kenai Peninsula Borough Land Management Division at 907-714-2205.
AA Meetings

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held at the Baptist Church annex Saturday mornings 9:00 and Wednesday nights 7:00. This is an open 12 step meeting. If you are curious or think you might have an issue with drinking or other addictions, come join us!
