Thursday Edition 4/11/24

Exciting news from Troutfitters – we are officially open weekends as of this Friday! Swing by and start getting ready for the season or just pop in and say hi 🙂

Also, we are hiring a salaried housekeeper and we’ve got housing! If you’re interested or know anyone who might be, please email us at info@aktroutfitters.com. Happy April!

Help the Snail-a-Thon Return!

In supporting Cooper Landing Emergency Services as a fundraiser, several of our volunteers would like to see the beloved Snail-a-thon return to the Landing. We are hoping to bring this event back on the morning of Saturday, May 18th, 2024. After completing the race, participants will have plenty of time to head over to enjoy the festivities of the Cooper Landing Regatta! But we need your help! If you are interested in assisting with this event, please email Rachel Sullivan at operations.cles@gmail.comand our Fundraising Committee will be in touch with you. Thank you for your continued support of Cooper Landing Emergency Services!

Volunteers needed at transfer site

The Sexy Senior Dumpster Cleaners are looking for volunteers to open and close the transfer site gates starting May 1st. The site is opened at 7am and closed at 7pm, 7 days a week. It’s an easy way to support the seniors!

Cooper Landing Trails Meeting

The trails committee of Cooper Landing Community Club is holding a meeting

April 12th, 6:00 p.m. at Cooper Landing Brewery.

Please join us to discuss varied winter and summer trails issues including updates on the Walkable Community Project.

Community Safety Committee

The Community Club has recently created the Cooper Landing Community Safety Committee, and it is open to anyone that would like to be a member.  We will get together to create a mission statement, identify and prioritize community safety issues, and then get to work making our town a safer place to live, work and play.

The goals of the committee thus far are to identify unsafe conditions and work to improve them. That could mean monitoring, documenting and reporting violations, communicating with local agencies, contractors and businesses, determining what’s missing or needed to improve situations, etc. And it’s not limited to human safety, but also environmental, social, and more.

If you’d like to be a member or have questions, please contact me.
