Book Club time correction
The Cooper Landing Book Club will meet on Zoom on Tuesday, March 18, 9am Alaska time. (Not 10am as accidentally posted previously.)
This month’s book is James by Percival Everett, a brilliant, action-packed reimagining of Mark Twain’s Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, both harrowing and darkly humorous, told from the enslaved Jim’s point of view.

Please join us for our second general meeting for 2025 on Thursday, March 20th at 6 pm at the Cooper Landing Community Hall. We have a full agenda featuring several updates and information from our local liaison organizations as well as needing approval for changes made to our bylaws that is pertinent to all in our community The current agenda is available through the link below. Looking for Housing
I know this is a long-shot, but we are a family of 4 that has been in the community for over 20 years and we are looking for housing either year-round or just for the summer. Board of Game Proposals
The Cooper Landing Safe Trails will be working on new proposals to present to the Board of Game at the March 2026 meetings. Here’s a link to the 5 proposals so far:
Below is the announcement from the Alaska Board of Game for proposed changes to hunting and trapping regulations for the Southeast and Southcentral Regions.
Please email cooperlandingsafetrails@gmail.com with any additions, concerns, ideas that we will consider in preparing these proposals that deal with trap setbacks along beaches, roads, trails, the Summit Lake Recreation area and for signage. We strive to create a safer, more equitable use of our public lands that will reflect the majority of the residents’ desires and usage.

Alcoholics Anonymous meetings are held at the Baptist Church annex Saturday mornings 9am. This is an open 12 step meeting. If you are curious or think you might have an issue with drinking or other addictions, come join us! The church is located at the corner of Snug Harbor Road and the Sterling Highway, next to the CL Emergency Services building. For more information, call (907)299-2855.
