Museum Needs Help!
Cooper Landing Historical Society and Museum Needs Help!
We are asking for help greeting our museum guests this summer. You don’t have to know local history; there’s all kinds of information in the museum buildings. Those buildings are as historical as their contents: Jack Lean’s c1925 store/Cooper Landing Post Office, the 1955 schoolhouse, and the storage building was the 1975 mailroom addition to the store when Betty Fuller was postmaster.
We are planning to be open every day from Memorial Day through Labor Day from noon to 5 pm. There’s a small gift store in the old school. Kate Stevenson will have occasional Treasure Sales out of the storage building. She is in the final production stages of our local history book with pictures and recipes. Our annual Summer Open House for residents and seasonal workers will be an evening in mid-June.

I will be at the museum April 30 from 1 to 3 and on May 7, 14, and 17 from 1 to 3. Or longer!
