Soldotna Area Sport Fishery Town Hall Style Public Meeting
(Soldotna) – The Alaska Department of Fish and Game (ADF&G), Division of Sport Fish Soldotna area management staff will be hosting an end-of-season sport fishery town hall style public meeting. Sport fishery topics specific to the Soldotna area will be discussed, including the 2025 sport fishing season, plans and ideas for the future, and a question-and-answer session. The upcoming 2026/2027 Board of Fisheries cycle with Lower Cook Inlet and Upper Cook Inlet meetings will also be discussed.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at 6PM at the Soldotna Public Library
located at 235 N. Binkley St., Soldotna, AK 99669

Trapping season is here and we’re all wanting to get out and enjoy what winter brings! We can all be safe, courteous, and conscientious. Education is good; learn how to protect and save your dog’s life in Alaska’s outdoors! Fish & Game Biologist Chris Bottom will be presenting a seminar on Sunday, Dec. 14th, 11-1:00 at the Cooper Landing Community Hall.
You will learn: *trapping regulation, *trap & snare release techniques, *hands-on skills, *what to look for on the trails, *tool kit ideas, and *emergency care.
