Chainsaw Carver Available for Commissioned On-sites and Custom Orders
Hey, Cooper Landing!
It’s Rachael Mirth, your favorite chainsaw carver! I’ll be in Cooper Landing and roaming around the Kenai Peninsula for the months of July and August! I’m currently scheduling on-site stump projects and custom orders! I love carving fish, especially trout and salmon, but also enjoy carving bears, eagles, and people! My custom and onsite projects range in the thousands of dollars and my smaller inventory pieces range in the hundreds of dollars.
If you are interested in an estimate for a custom piece or know of somebody who is, please contact me at (785) 341-6172 or check out my website at MirthfulCreations.com or my social media pages on Facebook and Instagram, titled Mirthful Creations Custom Wood Sculptures!
Thank you,
Rachael Mirth 🙂

Memorial for Jack Harris
Celebration of Life
Please join us as we celebrate the life of Jack Harris on July 15th from 4 to 7pm at the Cooper Landing Community Hall.
He wasn’t one for flowery words or unnecessary fuss. He could be stubborn, opinionated, and never hesitated to tell you exactly what he thought. He wore his gruff exterior proudly, but those lucky enough to know him also knew his quiet generosity, sharp wit, unwavering loyalty, and the big heart hidden beneath it all.
He leaves behind a lifetime of stories, laughter, lessons, and memories that will continue to make us smile. While we’ll miss his unique way of keeping everyone on their toes, we’ll remember him with love—and probably hear his voice reminding us we did something wrong.
Please join family and friends to share stories, laughter, and memories as we honor a life that was lived on his own terms.

In lieu of tears, bring your favorite story about him.

Helen Rhode Park
In 1993 there was a vision for a park with a Welcome to Cooper Landing sign and to honor Helen Rhode. Once the sign was in place community volunteers made rock paths and flower gardens.
30+ years later the park needs our help. For the past two weeks we have cleared trees and uncovered the paths. Painted the picnic benches. Princess mowed the grass and trimmed. Much more needs to be done to make this a park we can be proud of again.
Some of the help needed is to freshen up the logs holding the sign. More weed whacking and clearing. Of course this makes for help hauling away the branches. The goal is plant some flowering trees and freshen up the rock paths in August.
If you would like to help or have a crew that could give a couple of hours now and then, please text Kate at 907-240-1113. 🤗 We can do this!!!!!
