Meridian Lake Trail Maintenance Volunteer Event
Alaska Trails will be holding a volunteer trail work event on Meridian Lake Trail, and all are welcome!
Date: September 19th, 2026
Time: 10 am to 4 pm
Location: Meridian/Grayling Lake Trailhead, 22635 State Hwy 9, Seward, AK 99664, USA

Sunrise Inn Cafe schedule
Sunrise Inn will be closed Monday August 31st and Tuesday September 1st. we will continue to be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays throughout September.
Hours of operation the rest of the week will be Tuesday-Friday 9-9 Saturday and Sunday 7-9.

Pancake Breakfast
Pancakes on Saturday at the community hall!
Pancakes from Cecil Rhode’s sourdough starter over 50 years ago! Also buttermilk pancakes, sausages, coffee, juices, and Ladonna Herbert’s buttermilk syrup. All you can eat pancakes. $10. Kids 10 and under eat free!
The Salmon Cook-off was a great time and we’re looking forward to the Soup Supper. We hope you can join us in between for a couple hours of pancakes! This is a fund raiser for the Cooper Landing Senior Citizen Corp Inc.

Beginning September 1, the library will be open with new hours. We have analyzed our attendance data, as well as our winter volunteer availability, and believe that these hours will best suit the community for the winter months. We plan to go back to being open six days a week during the summer months.
